On 6 November 2013. was officially opened the renovated laboratory 207E-2 Department of "Computer science and technology" in structured cabling systems. The ceremony was attended by the rector of the Technical University - Varna Prof. Dr. Eng. Ovid Farhi, Mr. Alexander Petrov, managing director of the company "R & M Bulgaria" Ltd., Bulgarian branch of the Swiss company "Reichle & De-Massari" - "R & M", Eng. Mitko Aleksandrov, Assistant Rector, Assoc. Prof. Petar Antonov, Dean of the Faculty of computing and automation and head of Cisco academy, representatives of the university and the company journalists.

The repair of the laboratory was made with funds of the university. Active equipment (network equipment) is built on devices of Cisco Systems, and passive equipment (rack, installation cables, assembly jobs) worth 10,000 Levs is provided by the company "R & M Bulgaria", leader in the production and distribution of passive components, copper and fiber optic cables for the needs of WAN, MAN and LAN communication networks.
